There are very few policies which apply across all Wikia. These can be found on the Central Wikia at Wikia:Category:Policy.

Other policies for this Wikia should be decided by the wiki community. It's generally best to keep policies as simple as possible, and not to introduce too many rules. A growing wiki can usually do well with a few simple policies and a lot of goodwill and cooperation.

Adding [[Category:Policy]] to any policy pages will add them to the policy category. This is found here.

Read Before Joining[ | ]

Main article: Author:Read before joining

We have a long-standing joining policy. To bring yourself to the attention of our admin for consideration, Mei1105 (talk) is the girl to prod. The main page to do with this policy should explain all.

Most importantly, if you are going through the joining process, then wait until your first fic has been completed, been through a beta and uploaded before creating your agent's article. You are free to edit your userpage - maybe with some of our userboxes - all you wish.

New Agents - Help for basic editing[ | ]

The main Wikia help page is a good start if you're completely lost.

We've made a few resources that assist in making new pages: our set of page guides, rough skeletons of different types of pages, all fully coded and ready to use.

We also have a small selection of templates that we commonly use, once you get more used to Wiki mark-up. These can be found here.

Sue Names[ | ]

Sues have long, elaborate names that are nightmarish to spell, remember and bores you to death when they tell you it!! But to force those muppets to some semblance of normality, their pages' titles only have their first name and their last, ignoring all middle names and titles. For instance, Willowe Foxblade. By all means, please put their full name on their page.

Archive Links[ | ]

We try to cross-reference important points in characters' History sections, and things like gadget/weapon/etc introduction, to the relevant story in the archives for further reading; it almost serves as our references. The best way to do this is to take the fandom involved, or a short phrase referencing a non-fandom-based fic (e.g. X's parole hearing, Y's wedding, the time Z got into trouble), and link the story there using this code:

[[Author:List of stories#Insert Story Here|the fandom or phrase you're linking]]

Use either as is for Archive 1, or [[Author:List of stories/Archive #, replacing the '#' with the appropriate number for Archive 2 or Archive 3.

Linking just to the name of the story, except in infoboxes, doesn't give as much information as linking the much more descriptive fandom title or story phrase, so please try to avoid it.
