I was thinking that userboxes might be a fun thing to play with on our user pages. After an afternoon of struggling with the code I think I have got something that might, or should, work.
Basically userboxes are interesting little time-wasters and information revealers that one sticks on their user page (NOT on the actual Wiki). Copy the code of the box you want and add it to your userpage.
Yes, argh the code looks scary. I don't yet know how to condense the code into a nice short generator like what Wikipedia has. But basically a userbox is a glorified text box; in the code there are sections that programme what text goes in the box. If you want to change the ID data, i.e. the little box, change id=X| which should be the penultimate section; and if you want to change the info data, that's the last section of code, info=This user.

Making your own[]
This little code will work to make your own. It’s quite simple to fiddle with, but is not as comprehensive.
If you want different colours, use Wiki’s list of web colours and use the six-figure hexadecimal code from that big list. If these aren’t enough colours, make your own codes here.
If you can get the hang of that mess of Wiki markup, you can start making your own here.
